From the Hôtel Cardinal, the drive takes about an hour, depending on traffic. Head toward Paris on the A13, then follow the signs for Vernon and Giverny. Free parking is available near the village and the gardens.
Claude Monet’s house and gardens are open during the season. In 2026, they are scheduled to be open from April 1 to November 1, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Online reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends, during school breaks, and in July and August.
For a more enjoyable visit, try to arrive right when it opens or in the late afternoon. Plan on spending about two hours exploring the house, the flower garden, the water lily pond, and the famous Japanese bridge.
